A primary goal of this training is to help coalitions and organizations clarify their goals and understand the language and processes of evaluation so they are empowered as evaluation clients.

Learn about the six-step evaluation framework used by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Learn best practices for critiquing and developing logic models, evaluation plans, and evaluation reports.

This is a highly interactive session, where attendees will immediately apply the material to their specific situations. Attendees will leave the training with tools and templates that they will be able to use in their communities.

About the Trainer:

Dr. Geary has been successfully working with coalitions, non-profits, community groups, service providers and government agencies for 18 years. He consults on a variety of processes including evaluation, capacity building, organizational development, assessment, workload analysis, volunteer management, strategic planning and other areas of program and organizational management. Dr. Geary has provided assistance to thousands of coalition across the country and has extensive experience educating a wide variety of audiences. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in Sociology and Criminal Justice at LaSalle University and the Lead Evaluator and founder of Global Evaluation Solutions. He lives in Doylestown, PA.

This training is provided through the MN Regional Alcohol, Tobacco, & Other Drug Prevention Coordinators with grant funding provided by the MN Department of Human Services Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.
